What is Delivered Duty Paid (DDP) shipping?

When shipping between the UK and Europe, nothing is worse than when our customers are hit with unexpected customs fees upon delivery. That’s where DDP shipping — short for Delivered Duty Paid — comes in. With Delivered Duty Paid shipping, all duties, taxes, and import fees are covered upfront by us (the seller), so you the (buyer) know exactly what you will pay before shipping. This means full-cost transparency, no surprise bills from the courier, and faster, smoother delivery.

What does it mean to you?

Delivered Duty Paid (DDP) is a shipping term in international trade under which we (the seller) assume full responsibility for delivering goods to a designated European destination. In simple terms, what DDP means is that Brisbane Moss handles export documentation, freight charges, insurance, import duties, and any other shipping costs incurred along the way. In most cases you only need to unload the goods at the delivery location.

The Benefits

· Under DDP Incoterm, Brisbane Moss calculates and pays all applicable duties, taxes, and import fees. “This means the buyer (you) won’t face any unexpected bills later.”

· With all costs settled upfront, DHL and Europa Worldwide can present complete documentation to customs officials, speeding up clearance and reducing the likelihood of inspection delays.

· Since the shipment is marked as Delivered Duty Paid (DDP), it is handed over at the agreed destination without the consignee needing to pay duties, taxes, or other import charges upon arrival.
